Wessex Floorcare is a family-run floor cleaning and restoration business based in Sturminster Newton, Dorset. We work with homeowners, businesses and property professionals throughout Dorset, Somerset and Wiltshire, helping to restore, maintain and protect flooring of all types.

From traditional stone and timber floors in period properties to modern commercial flooring, our approach is always the same: understand the surface, use the right techniques and take pride in delivering a result our customers can be confident in.

A Family Business with a Passion for Floor Care.

Founded by Lucas and his wife, the business grew from Lucas's decision to leave military service in 2021 and pursue a new direction. Since then, he has dedicated himself to developing his knowledge and practical expertise across the floor care industry, from carpet cleaning and stain removal to wood floor sanding, hard floor maintenance and natural stone restoration.

We Are Local Specialists.

LUCAS Beavon

Lucas brings a combination of specialist floor care knowledge, practical experience and a genuine passion for natural materials to Wessex Floorcare.

Before moving into the flooring industry, he spent 12 years serving in the Royal Marines before leaving to start a family. He also studied geology at university, reflecting his long-standing interest in fossils, stone and natural materials.

Lucas is a Jacaranda Recommended Fine Fabrics Technician, Tile Doctor covering Dorset, Somerset and Wiltshire, Bona Certified Craftsman and Bona Resilient Flooring Solutions Technician.

He has trained with leading flooring manufacturers and representatives across the UK, giving him a broad understanding of different flooring materials, cleaning methods and restoration techniques.

KATIE beavon

Katie is the friendly face behind much of the customer experience at Wessex Floorcare. With 10 years working in holiday lettings followed by five years in property lettings, she has built a strong understanding of customer service, communication and the importance of looking after people from the first enquiry through to completion.

Customer service has always been important to Katie, and her commitment was recognised with an award during her time in the holiday lettings industry. Today, she manages customer communications and plays an important role in the continued development of the business.

Outside Wessex Floorcare, Katie enjoys spending time with her husband, their two young children and their dog, particularly exploring the countryside and Dorset coastline.

steve bERRYMAN

Steve brings more than 20 years of floor laying experience to Wessex Floorcare, giving him extensive practical knowledge of floor construction, materials and installation.

His experience provides a valuable understanding of how different flooring systems are built and how they should be maintained, cleaned and restored. Steve holds an NVQ Level 2 in Resilient Floor Coverings and is a Tile Doctor, Bona Resilient Flooring Solutions Technician and Bona Certified Craftsman.

His combination of installation experience and specialist floor care training allows him to approach projects with a detailed understanding of both the flooring material and the best way to care for it.

Steve joined Wessex Floorcare in August 2025 and has quickly become an important part of the team, bringing his experience, practical approach and attention to detail to every project.
